Minster for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit made a surprise inspection to Dillibazar-based Land Reform Office on Sunday.

Minister Pandit reached the office at around 10 in the morning. He inspected various departments and also enquired about the services with office chief Keshav Prasad Neupane and service seekers.

Minister Pandit also checked the attendance register of the civil servants and grilled office chief on why the attendance was not marked as absent of those who hadn’t shown up for work.

Service-seekers complained about civil servants arriving late at office and problems with government’s online servers.

Speaking to reporters after the inspection, Minister Pandit said there were various areas which required improvement. He also directed ministry Spokesperson Rudra Singh Tamang to write to concerned department and take necessary action against office chief.
