Kathmandu
A Cabinet meeting on Tuesday made no decisions regarding the appointment of chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force.
There were widespread speculations that the meeting would pick a successor to Nepal Police Inspector General of Police (IGP) Prakash Aryal. Aryal will retire on April 12.
The meeting decided to assist the ‘one person, one admission’ campaign brought by the government to increase students enrolment in schools.
Government Spokesperson and State Minister for Information Gokul Prasad Baskota said the government has transferred Secretary at PM’s office Rajiv Gautam to Law Ministry. Gautam will be replaced by Joint Secretary Dilli Raj Ghimire promoting him to the post of Secretary.
