Police have arrested a man for allegedly circulating rumour on social networking sites, claiming that there will be banda on Friday and Saturday.
Ranjit Gurung, who claims himself as a member of Janamukti Sena, was arrested by a Metropolitan Police Range team from the Capital’s New Road on Thursday.
SSP Ishwor Pokharel of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, said Gurung was arrested on the charge of spreading rumors about banda. Police said that they have started an investigation.
Putting forth a four-point demand, a group of Gurung had circulated a post in the social networking sites, claiming that there will be two-day banda.
