Police have arrested a man for allegedly circulating a post on social networking sites claiming that there will bandh on Friday and Saturday.
Ranjit Gurung, who claimed himself as a member of Janamukti Sena, was arrested by a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, from New Road of the Capital on Thursday.
According to SSP Ishwor Pokharel of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Gurung was arrested on the charge of spreading rumors about bandh.
He has been kept at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.
Police said that they have started an investigation.
Putting forth a four-point demand, a group of Gurung had circulated a post in the social networking sites claiming that there will be two-day bandh.
