British, Indian envoys call on PM Oli

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri went to PM’s official residence in Baluwatar with his wife and extended his best wishes to PM Oli on the occasion of Holi, the festival of colour. PM Oli had also offered Tika to ambassador Puri.
According to a Baluwatar source, the duo discussed contemporary political situation of Nepal.
Indian Ambassador Puri’s visit to Baluwatar at a time when the country is preparing to expand the Cabinet and hold the presidential election has been watched meaningfully.
Earlier, he had gone to PM’s Oli residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, to congratulate him on his election as the 38th Prime Minister of Nepal.
Similarly, British Ambassador to Nepal British Morris had also reached Baluwatar to extend best wishes to PM Oli on the occasion of Holi.
Conveying the congratulatory message of British PM, Morris said that Nepal would now head on the path of development.
During the meeting, the British ambassador said that his country was ready to provide any kind of assistance for the development of Nepal, PM Oli’s press aide Chetan Adhikari said.
According to Prime Minister’s office, the duo also discussed the issue of transitional justice and an attempt to end the impunity.
Saying that federalism is a new issue for Nepal, Ambassador Morris said that his country was willing to help Nepal in the implementation of federalism and infrastructure development.
