Kathmandu

Government on Monday announced a cash prize of Rs 300,000 to each member of national team for their performance in the recently concluded ICC World Cricket League Div II tournament in Namibia.

PM KP Sharma Oli announced the cash prize while felicitating cricketers at his official residence in Baluwatar on Monday. PM’s personal secretariat said the cash will be provided when the team leaves for World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe on Friday.

Chairman of Madan Bhandari Sports Academy Binod Shrestha also announced a cash prize of Rs 100,000 each to cricket coach and players.

The national cricket team secured second place in the Div II tournament and secured their berth for the ICC World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe on March.
