The Madhyapur Thimi municipality has sealed the under-construction training academy building of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.

The municipality halted the works saying that the Gaththagahr-based CAAN office in Madhyapur Thimi-3 had constructed the building for training of air traffic controllers without taking prior approval from the local government.

The CAAN had started construction of its two-storied building at an estimated cost of Rs70 million.
