Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) has arrested a head constable of Armed Police Force (APF) for setting fire in a storeroom at APF's headquarters in Halchowk.
Head Constable Ram Krishna Shrestha was arrested following a police investigation in the fire on the night of December 11. The fire had destroyed property worth Rs 2.5 million.
Two different teams, one by the Home Ministry and another by APF, were formed to investigate the fire. A MPCD team had collected electric wires and power sockets from the storeroom for examination.
