Any government document with a photo identifying a voter like a citizenship card, driving license and passport can be used to cast vote in Thursday's House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections, the Election Commission (EC) said.
This will benefit those registered voters failing to acquire voter identity card due to various reasons or getting the card lost.
Voters ID cards issued by the EC for the second Constituent Assembly elections and recently held local level elections are also valid for voting, said EC's Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal. RSS
