CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said the latest remarks by Nepali Congress leaders prove that the party has admitted its defeat in federal and provincial election.
Speaking at an interaction programme in Kathmandu on Sunday, Nepal said remarks such as authoritarian rule to be imposed by communists and restriction of personal freedom made by various NC leaders showed the party had conceded defeat in the election. "Alliance between leftist forces has shaken NC to its roots," said leader Nepal.
He also claimed that Nepali Congress failed to protect the majority in three previous occasions in the past and is undergoing at the lowest point in the history.
Nepal said if the result of local level election is to be considered, the left alliance would easily claim majority in federal and provincial election. "We are nearing an opportunity to garner majority for the left forces. We will form a five-year government and give a feel of development to the people," Nepal said.
