Chand-led CPN denies calling general strike

Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand has stated that rumours of general strike called by the party for Friday is baseless and that the party has not announced such programme.
“Our party has not announced any form of general strike tomorrow,” said a party source, “The rumour is totally baseless.”
Similarly, a group of former Maoist combatants led by Lenin Bista too has said that it has not called any general strike for Friday.
