Sources at Norvic Hospital said Prakash Dahal, son of Maoist supremo Pushpa Kamal Dahal, was dead before he was brought to the hospital.

Two of Dahal's aide had brought him at the hospital's emergency at 5:50 Sunday morning. His body was cold and there was no hint of life. Doctors pronounced him dead at 5:59 am.

The hospital is organising a press meet shortly to announce his death.

The reason behind the death has not been made public.
