Former Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police (DIG) Nawaraj Silwal has filed his candidacy from Lalitpur-1 as CPN-UML candidate.
Speaking briefly to reporters after filing his nomination, Silwal said he believed people will deliver him justice by voting for him in the election.
Silwal had resigned from his DIG post on September 12 after his writ filed at the Supreme Court challenging appointment of Prakash Aryal as IGP was quashed.
He had later joined UML.
