After a month-long hiatus, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has formed a small secretariat at the Prime Minister’s Office.
A Cabinet meeting on Monday appointed Dinesh Bhattarai as the foreign relations adviser to the PM. Bhattarai, who also served in the capacity during the premiership of the late Sushil Koirala, is a former ambassador to Geneva. A career diplomat, Bhattarai has served in various Nepali missions abroad in various capacities.
Govinda Pariyar, senior correspondent at the Annapurna Post daily, was the PM’s press coordinator. It is learnt that Deuba is yet to appoint a press adviser.
