Kathmandu
Main opposition aligned student wing, All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) staged a protest programme against the government decision to postpone the local level elections in Province no 2 in the Capital on Friday.
The ANNFSU organised the agitation in front of Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus in Exhibition Road this morning.
The ANNFSU affiliated students burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal as a part of their protest.
The government on Thursday had decided to postpone the local elections in Province 2 until September 18 as part of its effort to bring the agitating Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) on board the poll process.
