Election Commission (EC) has warned political parties and candidates contesting second phase of local bodies election over the violation of election code of conduct.
A meeting chaired by Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Sah on Friday said the election body was aware of the distribution of t-shirts, caps, bags and other items with election symbols printed on them and decided to inform the parties and candidates against such actions.
The meeting also decided to direct monitoring officials to monitor and stop such activities which would violate the poll code.
