CPN-UML candidates Som Mishra, Bina Banstola have been elected mayor, deputy mayor in Changunarayan municipality, Bhaktapur.
Mishra garnered 8,512 votes while his closest rival from Nepali Congress, Rajaram Khadka, earned 6,869 votes.
Likewise, Banstola secured 8,779 votes to be elected as the deputy mayor. Her closest rival from NC, Saru Baniya, gathered 7,476votes.
