Home Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi said the security arrangements for Sunday's local bodies election has been completed.
"Government has arranged three-tier security arrangements for the election," said Regmi at an interaction programme in Reporters Club on Saturday. "Home administration is leaving no stone unturned to prevent any untoward incident from happening," he added.
Secretary Regmi said security clusters of mobile teams of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force and strike teams of Nepal Police and APF will be deployed in the polling booths and polling centers. He added Nepal Army will make necessary site inspection and a NA chopper will be deployed in areas deemed as highly sensitive.
Regmi clarified incidents aimed at foiling elections have gone down after Home Ministry's warnings of taking strict action against those involved. "We had increased surveillance after such incidents. Now reports of such incidents are very low," he said.
