Kathmandu
Election Commission (EC) has asked Upendra Yadav-led Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai-headed Naya Shakti Nepal for breaking election code of conduct by taking out a motorcycle rally at Mahalaxmi Municipality in Lalitpur.
EC has sent out a directive on the name of their mayoral candidate Janak Thapa asking for clarification within 24 hours.
Election code bars parties from taking out rallies in cycles, rickshaws, motorcycles, tanga and other forms of transport.
