Nepali Congress has picked Raju Raj Joshi as its mayoral candidate for Kathmandu Metropolitan City in the upcoming local bodies election.

The party has also selected Hari Prabha Khadki as the deputy mayor of the country's capital.

A NC meeting in party office Sanepa finalised the candidates on Tuesday morning.

Joshi, brother of Industry Minister Nabindra Raj Joshi, is a senior leader who has served as district committee secretary of the party.
