Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has said there will be no change in the predetermined election schedule.
Organising a press conference in the Capital on Monday, the Election Commission chief said all the necessary preparation for nomination of candidates have been completed.
“Election officers are ready to file the nominations,” said Yadav, “With the nominations all the confusions will vanish.”
Yadav said the nomination will be opened from 10 am to 5 pm tomorrow.
In the first phase of local polls scheduled for May 14, polls will be conducted on 283 local units of 34 districts. Elections in the remaining places will be held on June 14.
