A youth was killed when a mini truck rammed a scooter on Thursday afternoon along the Byasi – Kamal Binayak road stretch.

The tipper (Ba 1 Ka 3559) en route to Byasi from Kamal Binayak struck the scooter (Ba 82 Pa 8473) heading in the opposite direction killing Rakesh Khaiju of Jhaukhel of Changu Narayan Municipality – 3.

Khaiju was rushed to the Inamura Hospital where he died in course of treatment, said Krishna Prasai, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range Office, Bhaktapur.

The police have arrested Hari Krishna Basi, 51, of Durbar Square in Bhaktapur Municipality – 13 and currently living at Liwali area in Bhaktapur – 8. RSS
