Tension escalated among various student unions at Ratna Rajya Campus in Kathmandu following disputes over the Free Students Union (FSU) elections on Monday.
The FSU elections that have been postponed at the Campus due to differing stands of various student unions led to the tension.
The election committee had set today for holding the elections and students had arrived at the Campus to cast their votes. However, the elections have not been able to take place as some student unions are in favour and some against holding the elections.
The security around the Campus area has been beefed up in view of the tensions to prevent any untoward situations.
