The government and the main opposition CPN-UML have agreed to take the constitution amendment bill for discussions at the Parliament.
House Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar said that the agreement had been forged during a meeting held with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and main opposition party CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli at Singha Durbar on Thursday.
Speaker Gharti said that the main opposition has agreed to cooperate in the running of the House meet and the work schedule as per the process.
The parliament meet called for Tuesday and Wednesday had to be postponed after the opposition parties warned of not letting the amendment bill go into process. The House meeting has been scheduled for 3 pm today.
