Police recently arrested two persons for allegedly running the illegal business of hundi (transfer of money through illegal channels), Nepal Police said.
The suspects have been identified as Rajendra Bhattarai,21, of Bhingri-8, Syangja and Bikash Karki, 26, of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-3, Bhaktapur.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Janasewa, nabbed the duo from Kichhapokhari, New Road of the Capital.
Police said that they have confiscated Rs 543,000 from Bhattarai’s possession and Rs 465,000 Karki’s possession.
Police said that they are investigating into the case.
