The convention was kicked off in the Capital on Friday.
Party Vice-chair and statute amendment committee coordinator Buddhiman Tamang tabled the proposal at the convention taking place in Bhrikutimandap.
A 161-member central committee including a Chair has been proposed in the amendment.
Another 24 office-bearers would be nominated by the Chair from among the central members.
The future ideology and strategy of the party is also being discussed.
The statue amendment proposal will be endorsed today following changes based on the recommendations received from the delegates, according to the party spokesperson Rajaram Shrestha.
The list of voters would be published after the amendment of the statute is finalised.
