A morning rally was organised in the Capital on Saturday to mark the second National Yoga Day.
Inaugurating the rally, Minister for Education Dhaniram Poudel, also the chairman of the main organising committee, called for wider publicity of Yoga.
The rally that started at Shahid Gate traversed through Dharahara, New Road and Ason before concluding at Shantibatika in Ratnapark.
Minister Poudel also insisted that Yoga and meditation should be practised at educational institutions, including colleges.
“Such practices help students in their academic activities,” he said.
Members of the Brahma Kumari Rajyog Sewa Kendra, Jiv Bigyan Kendra, Nepal Sanskrit University and former Yoga Students’ Association among others participated in the rally.
