Normal life was partially affected in Kathmandu on Wednesday due to a strike called by a Road Expansion Struggle Committee in protest against the road expansion drive in the Capital.
Fewer public vehicles were seen operating on the Ring Road. Few transportation services including Sajha Yatayat have been plying on the road since early morning.
Meanwhile, a large number of motorcycles and private vehicles plied on the road defying the strike.
Emergency service vehicles including ambulances were also seen on the streets.
76 banda enforcers arrested
Police have arrested 76 persons enforcing banda at various places in the Capital.
Police said they were arrested from places including Maharajgunj, Boudha, Newroad and some places in Lalitpur district.
