PM, Morcha agree to hold elections after constitution amendment

The agreement was reached during a meeting held at PM residence in Baluwatar in the Capital Saturday morning. PM Dahal assured Morcha leaders of tabling the amendment bill on Monday’s Parliament meet and will make effort to pass the bill.
Morcha leader Laxman Lal Karna, also co-chair of Sadbhawana Party, said that Morcha asked the PM to endorse the amendment bill first and announce the dates for elections.
An agreement was reached to forward the amendment bill at the Parliament by the government while Morcha will be ready for holding local, provincial and federal elections, PM Secretariat informed.
Present on the occasion were, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Pampha Bhusal from Maoist Centre and Mahantha Thakur, Rajendra Mahato, Hrideyesh Tripathi, Laxman Lal Karna, Mahendra Ray, Raj Kishor Yadav and Anil Kumar Jha from the Morcha.
