Prime Minister Dahal said this upon receiving a memorandum jointly handed by a delegation of Joint Political Dalit Struggle Committee and Dalit Civil Society at PM's Office in Singhadurbar on Thursday
The delegation drew the attention of the Prime Minister to the incidents of caste-based discrimination including the murder of Laxmi Pariyar of Kavre of late.
Noting that the cases of caste discrimination and untouchability are increasing day by day with the ebbing of achievements gained by Dalit community, he pointed out the need of strong unity among the Dalit community people against discrimination.
Coordinator of Joint Struggle Committee Dambar Biswokarma expressed concern on the government's apathy to book the guilty of the murder of human being.
The Dalit movement leaders also warned to launch nationwide movement if the perpetrators of the incidents of caste discrimination and untouchability were not taken to justice. RSS
