Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday made a surprise inspection of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and instructed the airport authority to improve both infrastructure and services.
According to the Prime Minister’s Private Secretariat, Oli instructed the airport officials to increase the number of seats at the waiting lounge, upgrade the scanning equipment, streamline the service at the visa and immigration counter, and improve the airport’s surveillance and security system.
Prime Minister Oli was accompanied by Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, Tourism Minister Ananda Pokhrel and other senior government officials. (PR)
