Kathmandu
Supporters of Madhesi and Janajati parties are gathering outside Singha Durba to protest against the constitution that, in their words, seeks to further discriminates marginalized and excluded communities.
Protesters affiliated to Sanghiya Gathabandan, an alliance of more than two dozen fringe Madhesi and Janajati parties, are scheduled to picket Singha Durbar later today. The parties had held a mass demonstration in the Capital on Saturday, the first day of their highly-publicised Kathmandu-centric protest.
Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal General secretary Rajendra Shrestha said that the demonstration was aimed at pressuring government to find solution of the Tarai crisis through amendment in the constitution.
