Locals from Bhaktapur have picketed police Metropolitan Police Circle office in Tinkune for allegedly releasing a person accused of murdering a girl after rape.
They blamed that police released the accused because of his political connection. They have been chanting slogans against the police administration demanding action against the guilty. The unnamed girl from Bhaktapur was murdered after rape, they claim.
Traffic movements have been affected in Tinkune due to the picketing.
