The ruling Nepali Congress has made it mandatory for the party leaders in the government, excepting Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, to visit the party headquarters in Sanepa once every week to listen to the grievances of the NC members.
Besides PM Koirala, there are 10 NC leaders in the Cabinet, nine of them are ministers and one a state minister. While the prime minister may visit the NC headquarters according to his own convenience, and not necessarily on a regular basis, the other 10 Cabinet members, however, are required to give at least two hours to the party once every week, according to the NC party office.
