Four Indian nationals arrested with pistol in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur police have arrested four Indian nationals with a pistol from ward 6 of Bhimdatta Municipality.
The suspects were apprehended near Mahendranagar market in a vehicle with an Indian registration number on Wednesday night.
The arrested individuals are identified as Jeevan Singh Jimewal (34), Komal Bista (31), Umed Singh Adhikari (34), and Sanjay Jethi (28), all from Uttarakhand.
According to Superintendent of Police Chakra Raj Joshi, the suspects were returning in a vehicle after arriving in Mahendranagar on Wednesday evening.
“We acted on a tip-off about a firearm. During the search, we found a pistol but no bullets,” said Joshi.
Further investigations are ongoing, police said.
