Apex College is set to host the third edition of Apex Gamers Connect from June 16 to 20.
The gaming extravaganza is organised annually by the Apex IT Club and is Nepal's biggest college-level e-gaming event, which brings together gaming enthusiasts from all over the country.
The Gamers Connect will feature competitions in inter-college Valorant tournament and intra-college FIFA tournament.
Valorant, where teams play as either defenders or attackers, is a hugely popular first-person battle game published by Riot Games.
FIFA, the best-selling sports game franchise in the world, is published by EA Sports. Both games have extremely large fan followings in Nepal.
A total of 16 colleges will participate in the Valorant competition while the FIFA tournament will see the participation of around 90 e-gamers from Apex College.
The organising committee for both tournaments comprises current Apex students who, besides managing the overall logistics of the event, will also perform the roles of referees and arbiters of any match-related dispute that might arise.
All events at Apex College are designed, led, and managed by the students themselves.
The Apex IT Club is known for organising various events through which students at Apex College learn the fundamentals of project management, get real-world marketing experience, and put their managerial skills to use.
