CoAS Tri-Adventure on May 21

Nepal Army is all set to organise CoAS International High Altitude Tri-Adventure Competition in Jomsom, Mustang on May 21.
The event will comprise 100m climbing, 4.75km trail running and 15.35km cycling, said Nepal Army major and race director Rajiv Chand at a press conference on Friday. The event will hold competitions in both male and female categories.
Altogether 25 teams, including 15 from Nepal and 10 from abroad, are expected to participate in the men's category while there could be a few female teams.
"The total number of participating teams will be finalised by May 8. We have sent invitations to 10 teams from abroad and all of them are from the military," said Chand.
The teams participating from Nepal need to fulfil the requirements set by the organisers. Each team will have two members in the squad and both of them need to compete in all three categories of race. The event will take place from an altitude of 2,700m to 3,200m.
The top three teams in the men's section will get a purse of Rs300,000, Rs200,000 and Rs100,000 respectively. The winners of the women's team will walk away with a cash prize of Rs100,000, Rs75,000 and Rs50,000 respectively. All the participating teams will get certificates.
According to the Nepal Army, they have been organising the race at the national level for the last two years.
