Shree Bhagawati Club registered a thumping 6-0 victory over Pulchowk Sports Club to climb into second in Group ‘B’ standings of the Martyrs Memorial ‘B’ Division League match at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Monday.

Darshan Gurung stole the show for Shree Bhagawati scoring four goals in the one-sided affair. Karlosh Bakhariya and Mohan Bahadur Thapa Magar were also on targets. The outcome lifted Shree Bhagawati two spots up to second place with six points, one point behind the group leaders Tushal after the completion of third round.

Pulchowk, who could have moved on top of the standings with victory, succumbed to their first defeat and dropped one spot behind to third. Pulchowk also have six points but stay behind Shree Bhagawati on head-to-head record. Gurung opened scoring in the 24th minute and they were 2-0 up two minutes later after Karlosh Bakhariya netted another goal.

Gurung struck his second individual goal in the 36th minute as Pulchowk headed into the break with a 3-0 cushion. Striker Gurung completed his hat-trick in the 67th minute before Thapa Magar made it 5-0 for Pulchowk in the 81st minute. Gurung sealed the victory with his fourth goal in the stoppage time.

The early kickoff of Group ‘A’ saw Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) hit back a late goal to salvage a 1-1 draw against Boys Union Club (BUC). Nawaraj Gurung netted four minutes from time to cancel BUC’s 51st minute lead. Akash Rai had provided BUC the lead. With the completion of third round, RCT stay on third position with four points. Boys Union are second from bottom with two points in the six-team group after two draws and a defeat. Satdobato Youth Club lead the standings with seven points.
