Nepal has qualified for Women’s Asia Cup after another contender Hong Kong lost to Thailand in the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifying Series Asia Region on Saturday.
Nepal finished second on the points table behind Thailand to confirm their berth for the Women’s Asia Cup. Hong Kong lost to Thailand by seven wickets which saw them finish bottom of the table behind China on net run rate.
Thailand will join test-playing nations India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the Women’s Asia Cup tournament. Thailand has also qualified for World Cup global qualifying tournament after finishing first on the table.
The Women’s Asia Cup will be played on November/December this year in Thailand.
