The Nepali spikers made poor start to their volleyball tournament on Friday with both men's and women's team losing their first match.

The  men's team lost to Sri Lanka in straight sets 25-10, 25-15, 25-10, while  the women's team also suffered a 25-19, 25-14, 28-26 defeat against the  same nation.
