Frisbee Fantom and Kathmandu Hawks victorious in Himalayan Spirit Cup

Frisbee Fantom and Kathmandu Hawks emerged victorious in the opening day of the Himalayan Spirit Cup, an ultimate frisbee tournament organised by the Nepal Flying Disc Federation (NFDF) at the Handball Ground in Kapan, Kathmandu, on Friday.
In the first match of the day, Frisbee Fantom defeated Yeti Ultimate by 13–8 goals and advanced to the final. Shreyas Khadka was the player of the match for the Fantom as he scored six goals.
In another match, Kathmandu Hawks defeated Hope Foundation 9–2 to book their place in the next round. Mingmar Lama delivered an outstanding performance with 6 goals for Kathmandu Hawks. Similarly, Symon Khadka, Phurba Sherpa and Sagar Luitel scored a goal each.
For Hope Foundation, Kiran and Rajan scored one goal each.
Kathmandu Hawks will face Chunikhel Warriors in the semifinal match on Saturday. The winner will face Frisbee Fantom in the final.
Budhanilakantha Municipality Ward No 10 Chairman Nawaraj Bhattarai, along with other board members of the Nepal Flying Disc Federation, were present. The guests appreciated the spirit, teamwork, and sportsmanship displayed by the players and emphasised the importance of such tournaments in developing ultimate frisbee in Nepal.
