Sahukhala missed out in one-versus-one with Sikkim goalie Dawa Sherpa in the 8th minute but made amends when he opened the floodgates by scoring in the 39th minute. The striker was in a right position to direct a pass from Nirajan Khadka to roll past Sikkim goalkeeper from the area in the 39th minute.
Sahukhala was in the score sheet again six minutes later when he scored from the area before going into the break. Dangol then netted in the 56th and 75th minutes to complete the rout.
Dawa Lepcha had an opportunity to salvage some pride for Sikkim but his powerful shot rebounded off the bar.
Three Star skipper Sagar Thapa said his team would try to keep up the momentum. “Our boys were magnificent today and we have to perform with the same spirit in the semi-final,” said Thapa whose team will now meet Nepal Police Club for a place in the final. Sikkim captain Nima Tamang said his team was outplayed on professional and experience grounds.
