BBC earn top flight status

BBC beat Nayabasti Yuba Club 1-0 in their last league match which saw them finish top of the table with 27 points from 12 matches. Dinesh Singh Khadka scored the only goal of the match in the 26th minute. The defeat left Nayabasti in the fourth spot with 18 points.
Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) finished second on 25 points. The winners and the runners-up received Rs 4,00,000 and 2,00,000 respectively. Likewise, the bottom two teams — Boudha Football Club and Birgunj Youth Academy were relegated to C Division. Boudha finished the 13-team league 12th with 10 points while Birgunj finished at the bottom with six points.
The second match between Samajik Yuba Club and Tusal Youth Club ended in 1-1 stalemate. Sushant Shrestha had put Tusal in front with his goal in the 40th minute. Bhakta Bhandari levelled the score in the 72 minute. The result helped Samajik Yuba Club secure the third position with 20 points. Samajik and Nayabasti were rewarded with Rs 1,00,000 and 50,000 respectively.
Dipen Rai of BBC was named the best forward, Tanka Bahadur Gurung of Pulchowk Sports Club the best midfielder, Naresh Limbu of MYA the best defender and Raja Babu Thapa of Chyasal Youth Club the best goalkeeper of the league. Sanoj Shrestha of BBC was adjudged the best coach.
