One dead, eight injured in bus accident in Arghakhanchi

A bus accident in Jayathati, in Bhumikasthan Municipality of Arghakhanchi district, left one person dead and eight others injured.
According to police, the accident occurred at around 5 pm at the border of Wards 5 and 6 when a Na 3 Kha 2471 bus suffered a brake failure and crashed into a group performing Deusi Bhailo, a traditional dance performed during Tihar.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla reported that the bus struck those gathered, resulting in the immediate death of a woman at the scene. Police and locals quickly responded, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Arghakhanchi Hospital for treatment. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, Malla said.
