Two people died and four others were injured when a jeep hit an autorickshaw at Gorusinge along the East-West Highway on Thursday.
Police identified the deceased as Saraswati Pasi, 72, and Sawar Kewat, 75, of ward 10 of Buddhabhumi Municipality in the district. According to Police Inspector Bir Bahadur Sunar, critically injured Pasi and Kewat died while being rushed to hospital.
The injured were taken to Butwal for treatment. The victims were on their way to a Gorusinge-based bank to receive social security allowance.
