Pedestrian killed in Rupandehi road accident

A pedestrian was killed in a road accident in Mayadevi Rural Municipality-6, Baluwadipur in Rupandehi district on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Gorakh Beldar of the same locality.
According to Manohar Bhatta, spokesperson of the District Police Office,
Rupandehi, the pedestrian, who was seriously injured after being hit by a truck, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa.
The police have impounded the vehicle and arrested the truck driver.
Further investigation is underway, the police said.
