A 22-year-old man died after being struck by lightning at Geruwa Rural Municipality-3, Bardiya, on Monday.

Police identified the deceased as Rohit Tharu of Ganeshpur in Geruwa-3.

The lightning struck him while he was ploughing his field. Critically injured Tharu was taken to Primary Health Centre in Rajapur where he died in the course of treatment, said police.
