The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSPN) has withdrawn its support to the Lumbini provincial government led by Jokh Bahadur Mahara. There are three members elected to the Lumbini province assembly from the JSPN.
After the party’s split, two members are with the Ashok Rai-led Janata Samajbadi Party while Ambika Kafle is with the mother party led by Upendra Yadav. Kafle decided to withdraw her support to the government.
Even after Kafle’s withdrawing support, Mahara still maintains a clear majority in the 87-strong provincial assembly.
