On Monday, police made public a 27-year-old man from ward 7 of Jhimruk Rural Municipality arrested on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. 

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishwar Thapa of the Pyuthan District Police Office, the accused was arrested on Sunday after the family of the girl lodged a complaint. 

The accused has admitted he was romantically involved with the girl. Further investigation into the case is going on, said Thapa.
