A motorcyclist died after being hit by a passenger bus on the Ghorahi-Lamahi road section late on Tuesday.
According to police, 23-year-old Saugat Wali, who had sustained serious injuries in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at the Rapti Academy of Health Sciences in Ghorahi.
Pillion rider Sharad Lamichhane, 35, also sustained serious injuries to his head and right leg. He is receiving treatment at the Ghorahi-based hospital.
Police have taken bus driver Rajesh Pariyar into custody for further investigation, said Kiran Prasad Malla, head of district traffic police office.
